Earthquakes @ Avaya
At Avaya Stadium, my two sons (grown men really) and I attended my first game. Watching a soccer match at a Soccer only stadium has a very natural feel. The stadium stole the show that day, offering great seating, a fantastic outdoor bar, delicious food, and an excellent beer selection. Everyone had a fabulous time. It would have been nice if the announcers did a bit more explaining for fans like my oldest son who never played soccer and was not familiar with the rules. I remember the first year the Sharks were in the Cow Palace; the announcers provided a lot of rule explanations to help fans get hooked. Developing a similar hockey crowd at the tank for Avaya would be beneficial. The quality of MSL has not significantly improved since my last visit here for a match.
